Netbet Poker Review
NetBet is a relative newcomer to the iPoker network but launched straight into our top 10 rankings. Boasting over 15 years experience in the online gambling industry NetBet offers a live online casino, sports betting, casino along with being an excellent option for those of you looking for a new poker site to play on!
They have become one of the largest skins on the network since merging with Poker 770 back in September 2014. Along with their growing poker room they are consistently building a great reputation in the sports betting market.
Netbet is a product of the Cosmo Gaming Company Ltd based in Malta. Initially established as a gaming company back in 2001 it has been offering numerous casino games since 2006, having received a European license. It is not often that a new company will immediately become one of the most attractive options on the network, but NetBet have done just that. It immediately acquired a large player base by merging with Poker 770 back in September 2014. As it attempts to grow it is offering some excellent bonuses to new players along with a nice loyalty program to keep their existing players happy.
A lot of you out there are looking for other options, aside from poker when choosing a skin to put your money on. Whether sports betting is your thing or casino games NetBet will certainly look after you. They offer both a regular casino and live dealer casino also. Along with these options they have recently launched their "Vegas" sections, which allows you to chance your arm with some slots. They seem to be growing as a sports book at the moment also receiving some positive reviews across the board.
First Deposit Bonus
As a new player depositing on the NetBet skin you will be me with one of the largest bonuses available. You have the potential to essentially treble your first deposit as NetBet will match it by 200% up to €1,500. The maximum deposit to trigger this full bonus is €750. You will be given 45 days to clear this bonus.
A lot of the time these very large bonus offers aren’t as good as they seem when broken down. However, NetBet’s certainly stacks up well. Clearing the bonus is a little different for cash game and tournament players. While clearing the bonus as a tournament player you will be earning a 22% rebate on your rake paid. Cash game players will effectively earn 20%.
The bonus is released in 3 different stages. The first €2 is released on earning 100 points. The next €8 is released in 4 increments of €2,needing to earn 135 points for each increment. The remainder of the bonus will again be released in increments of €2, however each of these require 200 points to release. As well as this large deposit offer NetBet also offers 3 entries into “VIP Instant Win” freerolls, 2 entries into their “Weekly Final” freeroll and €20 cash (Must deposit a minimum of €20 using code: FREE20)
Netbet offers a 5 tier VIP club - Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. The highers the VIP level you achieve, the faster you will earn points that can be spent on cash bonuses, tournament tickets or gifts in the Netbet VIP store. Each member of the VIP club will also be credits to play the snap win promotion.
Bronze - This is the entry level stage of the VIP club. Even a player that doesn’t play any poker on a monthly basis will be a Bronze member. You will earn points at the base rate at this level. You will be able to purchase tournament tokens and avail of reload bonuses from the VIP store.
Silver - This is the second level of the VIP system. Players are required to earn 20 NetPoints per month to achieve this status. This is the first level that cash bonuses will be available to you from the VIP store. Achieving this status is very easy. It essentially means you have spent over €1 in rake in the month. You will be given a 1.25 multiplier on your points at this level. You will also gain access to 6 Instant Win freerolls and 1 Daily Final.
Gold - Up the ladder we go to the third tier of the system. 500 NetPoints per month is needed to reach this status. Having to pay just €25 per month in rake, this should again be very attainable for the most players. At this level you will now have 60% access to the VIP store and a 1.75 multiplier on your points. Gold members are given 14 Instant Win freeroll entries and 2 Daily Final tickets.
Platinum - We are now reaching the higher echelons of the system now. This tier will be of more interest for the regular players out there. To achieve this status you must earn 4,000 NetPoints. This equates to paying around €200 in rake over the course of the month. At this level you now have 80% access to the VIP store and a massive 3 x multiplier on your points. You also have unlimited access to all of the Instant Win and Daily Final freerolls.
Diamond - This is the peak of the VIP club. To reach the much desired Diamond status is no easy task. Only the most dedicated of grinders will earn the 25,000 NetPoints required on a monthly basis. This amount of points equates to paying €1,250 in rake on the cash tables of NetBet. As a Diamond player you will be given a 4.5x multiplier on your points earned with full access to the VIP store. Similar to the Platinum players, you also have unlimited access to the VIP freerolls.
NetBet of course uses your standard iPoker Playtech software. This allows players to play up to 16 tables at once. When playing multiple tables, you are helped by the "Cascade" and "Tile" buttons. This helps you to arrange your tables at the click of a button. At the moment, they have decided against moving towards the newer version of the iPoker software. This is not necessarily a negative as there are some reported bugs with the new software that need to get ironed out.
The colour scheme used by NetBet is very easy on the eye. The scheme itself is dark, which I find very beneficial when playing those long sessions. The felt is a mixture of navy and blue with the NetBet logo sitting in the centre. This table is sat on a grey background. Stack sizes and bets are very clearly visible which is one of the more important aspects of a table. You have the option of keeping people's avatars visible or hiding them along with some other personal preferences such as setting your bet slider options to make your in-game experience easier.
Payment Options / Support
All of your usual payment options are accepted by NetBet. These include your major bank cards such as Visa, Mastercard and Entropay. Other options to deposit would be your reputable e-wallets such as Neteller and Skrill. You can also get money on there through a wire transfer or using the handy cash option with a paysafecard. Netbet offer another easy option with their Ecard. This is a free personal NetBet payment card that allows you to deposit via bank transfer instead of using your card or e-wallet.
If you are ever having any issues with NetBet there is an abundance of options to get help from them. For the general queries you will most likely find your answer in the FAQ section. If you require further assistance they also offer a live chat support, telephone support and of course Email support. This ensures that any issues you encounter can be resolved efficiently.
We certainly recommend NetBet as poker site to play on. For those of you that jump around the skins to avail of the new player offers, they offer an excellent welcome package. For those not looking to jump around too much they have that excellent ongoing VIP system including a nice VIP store. You have lots of support available, large bonuses and secure payment options. What else can you ask for when choosing a poker site to play on?
