Titan Poker

Titan Poker
One of the original iPoker skins

Titan Poker is one of the oldest poker rooms on the iPoker Network. It recently went through a re-style, which included the introduction of the new Club Titan, a VIP Club to reward loyal poker players at Titan Poker.

They have a strong reputation within the poker industry and offer good rewards for both grinders and casual players. Titan Poker should definitely be one of the first places to look forĀ an iPoker skin.

Titan Poker

Titan is the largest and best known site on the iPoker network. They pride themselves on their strong relationships with their player pool. In 2012 they received the Gambling Readers’ Choice award for Best Poker Customer Service. This award is chosen by readers of the magazine so it’s clear that Titan is a site that is well respected by the poker players themselves. In addition to this, they won Gambling Online Magazine’s Gold Award for the Best Online Poker Customers service five times in six years between 2006 and 2012. On the website itself they also regularly feature players that have performed noticeably well on their site, giving successful players some publicity for their efforts.

Anyone that has played on the iPoker network will be familiar with Titan Poker whether they realise it or not. Those players you have seen on the tables with the username “TTRxxxxxxxxx” are all Titan players. This is the default username given to the players until they select a poker alias for themselves, which some players seemingly choose not to do.

Titan Poker is affiliated with www.europartners.com along with Titanbet, Titancasino and Titanbingo amongst others. Titan are promoted well across a lot of poker media which results in them being the default go-to iPoker skin for a lot of players worldwide.

Software / Colour Scheme / User interface

Titan Poker uses a very basic dark colour scheme for their site. The poker lobby is a mix of greys and black. It doesn’t come across as bold as some other iPoker skins with their brighter colours that can sometimes be a bit too intrusive on your screen. The list of games has a white background with black font, special games use either blue or green font to make them stand out to the players.

The tables again are very dark in colour. This makes it easy to read player alias and stack sizes as they are in white font. The felt used is green with the Titan Poker logo faded onto it. Overall I like this software as it is very easy on the eye and not too intrusive on my screen.

As Titan is part of the iPoker network they use the Playtech software. The software includes many nice features such as auto top-up for cash game players, custom bet size buttons and the option to choose between different sets of cards, including four colour decks.

Skin specific bonus information

Titan offers a 200% Deposit Bonus up to $2,000/€1,500/£1,200. Players have two months to clear this bonus. The bonus is released in increments of €/$/£5. To clear the full bonus you will need to earn 120,000 points for USD and Euro accounts but 115,200 points for Pound accounts.

You are essentially receiving a 25% rakeback while you clear your first deposit bonus. This is a very high return on your money for the first two months that you are playing on Titan. This, combined with the VIP program can turn a break even player in to a winner. Points are awarded every time you play a real money tournamnet or contribute to the rake in a real money cash game.

New players will also receive a token package to freerolls with $16,000 in combined prizes, entries to beginners freerolls and chances to win big prizes in their "Beginners Races". Overall this bonus is up there with the best available on the iPoker Network and one of the main reason it is a fixture in our Top 10 list.

Skin specific loyalty info

Titan VIP club members can earn up to a 40% rakeback. This is a six tier VIP club which ranges from the entry level of Topaz to the peak of Diamond. The base points of this system are Titan Points. Players earn 20 Titan Points for every €1 paid in rake. The higher up the club you climb the more Club Points you will receive per Titan Point earned. Club Points are what you cash in to redeem your bonuses and cashback. I have outlined below the different stages of the VIP club, the points needed and the booster at each level.

Titan VIP Level Titan Points Min Rake Paid (€) Club Points Booster
Topaz 0 - 249 0 1
Amethyst 250 - 2000 12.5 1.1
Emerald 2001 - 2999 100 1.2
Ruby 3000 - 4999 150 1.3
Sapphire 5000 - 14999 250 1.5
Diamond 15000+ 750 1.5

Titan also offer a 'Rakeback Unlimited' promotion. This is where players can opt in to receive a weekly bankroll boost. Players will need to earn at least 100 Titan Points per week and be Amethyst or higher. Players that opt in to this promotion won't earn Club Points, but instead earn a flat 20% rakeback on a weekly basis.

Skin specific games

Skin specific games are very limited on Titan, with the vast majority of their games coming from the shared pool of iPoker players. The main games they do offer on a skin-only basis are the weekly $500 and $1,000 freerolls, the monthly $5,000 freeroll and some VIP sit & go tournaments.

Titan also offers their own micro stakes tournaments, aptly named the Titan Micros. These involve a $1 rebuy frenzy game which is a fun six max game with a turbo clock. The game is guaranteed at $100 with the whole final table getting tickets to the Big Sunday. The Big Sunday is a $5 re-entry tournament if you lose all of your chips. It has a massive 20,000 starting stack with $400 guaranteed in the prizepool. Feeders into both of these games are available using points in their Club 10 satellites.

Site Safety / Security / Reputation in Forums

Titan, as part of the iPoker network, brings all of the games and security that comes with the Playtech software. Undoubtedly these aren’t always up to the same standards set by the giants of Pokerstars, but are relatively good in comparison to other smaller networks. With Titan being one of the larger and more trustworthy skins on the network you can rest assured that your bankroll is safe here.

Player privacy is protected by 128-bit SSL technology. Advanced statistical analysis tools along with expert vigilance are used to ensure that you are safe against the dangers of collusion. A true random number generator is used to ensure the integrity of the game.

Titan has a really good reputation around the internet. Any issues players have voiced around the internet with regards to Titan have generally just been bugs in the Playtech software. Obviously skins such as Titan should be pushing iPoker to solve these issues. In my experience as a regular on this network I feel the software is constantly being improved upon and all issues I have read about online now seem to be solved.

Customer Support

Titan Poker was awarded the Gambling Readers’ Choice Award for Best Poker Customer Service six times between 2006 and 2012. They boast support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. You can contact them via the usual three options – telephone, email and live chat. Support is available in multiple languages with the software itself being available in 13 different languages.

In my own experience, I have to say they are definitely one of the better iPoker skins for support. You can be sure of a prompt response in general. Sometimes the support can be a little too intrusive however. When logging into an account prior to making your first deposit you can be bombarded by the support staff encouraging you to deposit and take advantages of the bonuses available to you. Of course there are some positives to this in that it makes sure new customers avail of the offers but I feel being prompted once by support is enough.

Overall I would definitely recommend Titan poker as your choice of iPoker skin. They have a strong reputation within the poker industry which means you can be sure you and your money are safe and secure with them. They offer good rewards for both grinders and casual players. Titan Poker should definitely be one of the first places to look when setting up an iPoker skin.
